Taking the Day off Birthday day for 13 year old son........ Can't imagine he doesn't want me to make something in the slow cooker......... hhmmmm..... Either Rigatoni or Homestyle Meatloaf tomorrow.
In the movie Julie & Julia, the young Julie asks her husband to encourage her to complete her goal of cooking all the way through Julia Child's cookbook. Then she says, "I just have to do this, I never finish anything I start". I love projects and I do them from time-to-time but lets be honest, doing the last part is always the real part of the challenge. (Like finishing the trim on a painting job, sweeping up after a long bout of weeding in the yard and cleaning the entire kitchen after a meal). So I am determined to do slow cooker recipe for 30 days and complete this project. I'll be proud of sticking to it and the best part, it does help my day out tremendously. Also, it's fun writing Day 3 of 30 or whatever day I'll be on. Maybe it's a little like running a marathon except I'm cooking my way through rather than running my way through. One day at a time, right ? Hope this encourages one or two of you to make a step to make your day a bit easier and make your family a delicious meal. GO ME !
